19 June - Brussels Paris Brussels 600

No better way to prepare for PBP than to do BPB...

This will be my first audax 'abroad'. At the same time I'm looking forward to an audax on 'home turf'.

Its time to start preparing for this, I've been in short-term hibernation since the BCM.


I like the 'parcours': Brussels via Bavay-Pierrefonds to Villeparisis and back. Only adds up to 518 kms, so there will be some more instructions on the routesheet to take us the long way to Paris and back and clock up the full 600km.


On the Friday I'll be driving to my parents place (circled in red). Then up early on Saturday to get to Brussels. No, I'm not cycling to the start!

    Bengske zal haar eerste audax rijden abroad, maar wij zien het meer als je eerste fietstocht in België en ons buurland Frankrijk.
    Waar we het meest naar verlangen is je te zien op vrijdagavond 19 juni. We wensen je een safe journey home en een super BPB prestatie.
    ...nogal heuvelachtig rond St Quentin zegt peip.

    Jawadde, mijn zusje goes " continental "!!
    Je zult wel ne keer Vlamingen horen een klapke doen onderweg en de haltes zullen goed voorzien zijn van frisse pintjes et du bon vin avec des baguettes aux fromage!(haha!)Bon courage et bon voyage!

    The 1200 I'm riding next month goes close to both Brussels and Paris, so I'll be very keen to hear about your experiences.
